The Great Grandson of Sir Charles Jessel is in Kota Kinabalu for Book Launch ‘Finding Jesselton’

The great grandson of Sir Charles Jessel, George Jessel is in town for the launching of his book ‘Finding Jessel’.

Kota Kinabalu, formerly known as Jesselton, was named after Sir Charles Jessel – the Vice Chairman of the North Borneo Chartered Company.

George Jessel, the High Sheriff of Kent, is the great grandson of Sir Charles.

The event was held yesterday at Hyatt Regency Hotel and was launched by Y.B. Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun.

The backdrop used during the launch was the iconic North Borneo Railway Jesselton signage.
